The Company was started in 1948 with a production of ladies underwear by Anders Vang Nielsen. Since then, Vangàrd has followed the development till today, where the production is concentrated on technical underwear and bike wear. 80% of our products leave for export across Europe.

The Company is 100% owned by the Nielsen family. The president Flemming Vang Nielsen is the second generation after the founder Anders Vang Nielsen. The third generation Bo Vang joined the company in 1999 and today he is responsible for the Retail department.

Vangàrd is today a vertical company producing everything in house. We are making our own fabrics in circular-knit and flat-knit, we are doing rotation print, sublimations prints, embroidery, cutting, and sewing.

1972 A part of the sewing moved to another location in Denmark
1992/93 Production are being moved to Poland
1997 Joint venture production in Latvia
2001 Vangàrd Retail A/S was founded
2002/03 New production plant in Ukraine (100% owned by Vangàrd Sportswear ApS)
